We live in the cul-de-sac between 114st & 113st on 83 Ave. We DO NOT have a storm drain at this location. The closest drain is on the corner of 114st & 83 Ave, if you're able to find it, and it's not frozen over. My Issue? Our driveway is roughly 4" above the road. The Cul-de-sac has been built in a convex manner, center of the cul-de-sac is higher then our driveways. Currently, the ice on the road is 2" above my driveway. Any runoff experienced with warmer weather, will drain / flow up our driveways and onto the lawn. I'm guessing the ice pack on the road leading up to the driveways is 4-6" of solid ice. If you would like to take a drive over, you will see that nothing is running off into the storm drains, which are 100m away from the house. Would it be possible for someone to come clean off the mess packed on top of the road. I can only imagine the mess this will create once warmer temps, not to mention the possibility of loosing our front lawn due to the lack of drainage in our area. I have a loader available, and I am more then willing to bring it to the house to clean off the road, but I have no place to dump the snow. The empty lot across the street has signs posted stating no dumping is allowed. It would be very much appreciated if the city would actually take the time to come and do this. I am losing faith in how the city is managing their snow and ice. Anyways, some help would be appreciated, either a crew to come clean things up, or the green light to bring my loader in, and being able to dump snow in the vacant lot across the street.
