Description

When Front St was repaved and the lines for parking were painted, the lines in front of the Starbucks on the corner of Front & Fredrick were extended too far - thus misleading drivers into thinking the space is a parking spot. Daily I watch people park, get a parking receipt and walk away thinking they are safe - only to return to a parking ticket. The sign for No Parking is on a post in front of the spot - but no one notices the sign because they instead only see the lines on the pavement. This confusion in signage is misleading and because Parking Enforcement knows about it they "hover" in the area just waiting to catch the poor unsuspecting parker. It is not a fair practice and at the very least the lines should be "blacked out" OR the no parking sign removed. One or the other.
