Thank you for your SeeClickFix dated August 27, 2014. Chief Holloway has asked me to respond directly to you regarding your issue with the vehicles parking on the sidewalk at 22 Avenue and 37 Street South. The information you provided was forwarded to Community Service Sergeant Richard Hladik to investigate.
Sergeant Hladik reported that he assigned Officer Rob Arrison to monitor and patrol this area to resolve your concerns. Officer Arrison advised he has gone by the area on several occasions, and at different times of the day. He advised he did not observe any violations. Officer Arrison did speak with the owner of the business to advise him we had received a complaint of vehicles parking across the sidewalk. He said he was unaware of this, but he would monitor it to make sure the sidewalk does not get blocked. Officer Arrison will continue to monitor the area and will take enforcement action if violations are observed. Please feel free to call the non-emergency number, (727)893-7780 if cars are blocking the sidewalk so it can be addressed while it is occurring.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact the Community Service Unit at (727)551-3183. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
