Description
The steel railing on the bridge that crosses the canal near Market and Dutton Streets has rusted through in many places. It isn't safe for residents and visitors. The jagged ends of the steel present one problem. If the railing breaks, a person could fall into the canal and possibly drown.

That bridge may be under the proprietorship of Enel Green Power

They completed a nice renovation of another one of the bridges above thier canals nearby MCC Downtown campus this past spring.
Looks like they will be working on the one by the Francis Gatehouse before too long - that one is already down to one lane of travel due to Motor Vehicle usage above the regulated weight limit.
