Occasionally I see speed traps set up right in front of Pembroke Pines optimist park, I think this is an appalling way to generate revenue for the city because what is happening is they are targeting college students who yes are sometimes late for class as a way to get their ticket counts up, there is also a catch here where in the area speaking of the speed limit drops from 45 to 40 for what is only about a 1/2 mile stretch and I have seen police in this spot on many occasions. The more college kids from the city that are the ones getting tickets leads to less college graduates living within the city. You tell me what you'd rather have good police numbers or a progressively thinking city.
