Description

FP&L connected a temporarily powerline that is hanging from a tree and they have not returned to fix the problem. This is a safety hazard and a fire hazard situation which needs to be taking care of immediately. On Saturday 10/11/14 the power went out for over 10 hours in the area and in order to provide us with electricity FP&L ran a line from a box to a tree to another box further down the street. We were informed by the FP&L crew that the job might take 2 to 3 hours to fix but that they needed to put a request to do the job and that might take up to 21 days!!!! This matter should have been fixed at least within 24 hours. The line is too low that anyone could touch it. There are always children playing outside and the line is dangerous. The same runs from my driveway and I am extremely concerned about a fire. According to the FP&L crew "nothing will happen unless you play with the line."
We all the neighbors are extremely concerned and if this situation is not taking care of we will have no choice than to contacting the media. See attached photo.
