Description
A stop sign is needed at the intersection of S. Honey Creek Dr. and W. Wanda Ave. in the 13th aldermanic district in the City of Milwaukee.
A.- To slow down the flow of North-South traffic on a 1/2 mile stretch of S. Honey Creek DRagstrip between W. Parnell Ave., and W. Grange Ave.
B.- Site of a rollover crash at the unregulated intersection of Wanda at Honey Creek approx. 2005.
C.- There are two large elementary schools within 1000 feet of this intersection.
D.- Traffic speeds have reached an estimated 60 mph in a 25 mph zone on many occasions.
When I asked our alderman, he was against the idea. When I offered to pay for the entire project out of my own pocket, he was still opposed to the idea. When I spoke to a Milwaukee traffic engineer the alderman referred me to, his exact words were, "No one would stop at the stop sign anyway".

to show those drivers that travel in this area,
that you cannot just keep going at the posted
speed limit without checking for traffic from
another direction of travel. I hope none of our
elected officials have to travel thru an intersction like this and run into someone.
