Greg - that's my concern. The trees are a couple of feet into the property but definitely obstruct the sidewalk. It has been a problem for several years now but the homeowner with the worst offending trees (the spruces) has never trimmed them.

If they do belong to them i will talk to them and see if i can get something done , i will do my best.
