Yes, they generally seem friendly, but as a woman, I would never walk down there alone, knowing that they are there. It just doesn't feel safe. And there aren't enough trash cans anywhere in this town!

That's been going on ever since the 1970s. Teens, Homeless, or just people hanging out drink there. I don't hang out there much anymore. There is a crazy guy named Hippie that sells drugs like Bath Salts and Crack on that path and footbridge area. He does drugs too (of course) and he tweaks out and can get violent. Also some of the people that work at Pen CAP smoke out there on one side of the bridge and they don't seem too friendly. Several times I said "Hi" and they looked at me like death warmed over or that I was a scum bag. Not very good attitudes. Then again they are stuck at dead end jobs. Funny thing is that these people seem to take smoke breaks every half hour. Wish I could find a job that would pay me to stand around and smoke all day and give people dirty looks. ha ha Anyway, that area of the trail has always had drinkers hanging out and drug dealers. I pass through there only if and when I really have to get from Court St. over to Harlow. I've also seen people fighting and shouting on that foot bridge.

Kelly is right. Not enough trash cans. The people that work at Pen CAP seem to throw tons of cig butts and paper cups on the ground, as well as wrapers and disgaurded cig boxes. I think they should pick their own mess up once in a while.
