I have owned a house on this block since 2009 and there have been no less than 5-6 instances of PGW coming out because of a broken gas line (most recently this past Saturday 1.7.12). I suspect that the gas lines beneath the street of Bouvier are very old and in need of replacement. Currently, PGW has done nothing more than place bandaids on frequently breaking pipes, in turn creating an extremely hazardous condition for those living on Bouvier and the surrounding area. Action needs to be taken to replace the pipes or come up with a permanent solution before someone gets seriously injured.
