Thank you for your SeeClickFix report dated March 27th, 2015. The Mayor has asked me to respond directly to you regarding the vehicle for sale on the southeast corner of 38th Avenue and 16th Street N.
The information you provided was forwarded to the District II day shift Sergeant to investigate. Sergeant Vaughan reported to the Patrol office that he personally responded out to the location on April 2nd, and did locate the blue Chevy Suburban for sale. He noted that the vehicle was parked on the actual property for the chiropractic clinic, and was in no way encroaching upon the sidewalk or the City right of way. He also noted that the vehicle was not obstructing the view of traffic in the intersection. He did attempt to call the phone number noted on the “for sale” signs on the vehicle, which was actually the number for the clinic. Sgt. Vaughan left a message advising them of the complaint, and that the vehicle was currently legally parked, but also asked them if they did move the vehicle, to be cognizant not to block the sidewalk, right of way, or to park in a manner that would obstruct the view of the intersection.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call Sergeant Vaughan at (727) 893-8484. Thank you for bringing your concerns to the attention of the Mayor's office and the Police Department.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
