Description
I posted the following issue yesterday. As you can see, I am aware that PTSA is responsible for the maintenance of bus stops, including emptying trash receptacles.
My request is for the city to add a new trash can by the bike racks. There is already a City trash can on the other side of 4th St, and I believe this would greatly reduce the amount of trash that is strewn around the Post Office steps.
"There used to be a trash can near here (outside the historic Post Office on 4th St. It was removed by PTSA, and despite requesting that it be replaced, they haven't responded.
I know that only PTSA can places trash cans near the bus stop, but is there anything to stop the City putting one by this bike rack?
Nearly every day there is trash strewn around het"
Sanitation Department response: The maintenance of PSTA bus stops is the responsibility of PSTA, including loitering, graffiti, cleaning, and emptying trash receptacles.
