Description
It's starts around 5:30 am. When a heavy truck or bus drives down 1st Street at a decent clip because the light is green it bounces over the buckled road shaking the whole house. The noise sounds like someone in the middle of the house with a bass drum and the shaking is so bad it wakes you up. This just started after these last two super cold winter causing damage. The situation is stressful and constant. The road should either be fixed or trucks need to be stopped from driving down here. I am talking about the road in between Maple and Mitchell on 1st St.

constant shaking house (Guest)
bad roads HELP! (Guest)
I want to add that I discovered this effect is due to the actual method of repair that was done to this section of road. Instead of paving it, huge block slabs were set in place. This creates seams at regular intervals on the road. The huge overweight trucks that are obviously too heavy for this street, Bouce over these seams, slamming into the road every couple of yards. Making a huge bass sound and shaking the houses.
Why can't we have a sign that says no trucks? Why can't we at least stop them from coming this way? They can go down KK instead which is not residential and they won't be bothering anyone.
It just sucks to live like this.
