(posted on behalf of Assistant Chief Luke Williams, SPPD) Thank you for your SeeClickFix dated November 24, 2015. Chief Holloway has asked me to respond directly to you regarding the boat parked in the street at 4162 1 Avenue South. The information you provided was forwarded to Community Service Sergeant Richard Hladik to investigate.
Sergeant Hladik reported that he assigned Officer Mike Christian to monitor and patrol this area to resolve your concerns. He advised he was unable to locate the owner to explain the city ordinance concerning boat parking. Currently boats can only be parked on the road for a period of 4 hours from Monday to Thursday. Boats can be parked for 24 hours starting Thursday at 4 P.M. until Monday morning at 8 A.M. Officer Christian advised he would place a 72 hour sticker on the trailer and have it towed if it was not moved.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact the Community Service Unit at (727)551-3183. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
