Description
Two Weeks ago some (Shmoes) People, having had a large party/family reunion on the banks of the Housatonic off of the AT at Bulls Bridge, decided it was the right thing to do to just pile their enormous amounts of garbage (easily 30-40 garbage bags worth of rotting food, broken styrofoam coolers, plastic cups....etc) right underneath the sign board which reads both "Carry out what you Carry in" and "Leave No Trace".
This is really base and disgusting and just ...sad. The pile is still there two weeks later... not getting any nicer with the rain and heat and the passage of time. My question is who do I call to sort this out? OR do I get out there and host a "Clean Up After the Shmoes" Event offering free rubber gloves and nose plug for the first 20 people to sign up?

The Trail as of today, August 3, 2012 1 Pm. Now imagine the smell on a hot August day, and the sound of swarming flies along with this pic.

This behavior is reprehensible! These people should be tracked down and fined huge amounts of money. If you want to welcome the world into our pristine woods than you @#$% well better be prepared to police them. This area has been discovered by the general populace and therefore now needs a ranger on hand on all summer holidays and weekends keep such dispicable people in line.
