Description
At the corner of Ferry and 3rd St, when the traffic light goes from yellow to red in one direction, the other direction gets a green light instantly (without a pause of a second or two as at most lights).
Drivers routinely run red lights at this intersection, and the tunnel on the west side of this intersection means that visibility is hindered as well. Seems like a recipe for accidents.

THE ACCIDENT that might happen to cars and pedestrians and bikes is NOT A PRIVATE LEARNING EVENT.
Many years ago MY CAR was demolished after it ricocheted off FOUR cars parked on both sides of a downtown street. FIVE cars badly damaged ! This happened because My Car was clipped toward the rear by a SIXTH CAR whose driver stopped at the stop sign at Washington and then proceeded too fast into 3rd Street. This car caused the accident and ended up with just a broken headlight and dented bumper.

The other issue at this light is that there is NO pause at all for a pedestrian. The cars making left turns on to Ferry DO NOT LOOK and will run you over even though the crossing sign says "walk". There should be a pause in between the red on the tunnel side and the green on the 3rd St side for not just cars but pedestrians too.
I just love being flipped the bird or honked at when I am trying to cross.
