There are too many marathons that close Ocean Parkway to traffic and causing traffic jams that last for hours. Again today 5/21 was the half marathon. Last month or so was a bike marathon. More marathons over the summer. Why keep closing Ocean Parkway? These marathons should be held in a park or along the shore line where there is very limited traffic and closing streets would not affect congestion. Today it took me 45 minutes to drive around the corner and back to my house because the traffic was at a standstill. Not fair that this section of Brooklyn gets closed down for all these marathons.
