There aré 2 encampments next to the fence near the old adult school and tennis courts. They are on the West side of the railroad tracks. Hope this helps to locate them.
Please get these cleaned up. The homeless people who hang out around here @#$% and @#$% in the dugouts and bleachers at the Little League/GVRD fields. It is a health and safety issue that affects our children when they are trying to learn to be healthy and play sports.
Thank you for reporting! The Police Department's Community Service Section (CSS) has opened a case for this issue. CSS has one part-time and three full-time employees who are responsible for addressing all quality of life concerns, supporting Neighborhood Watch groups, and working with the Neighborhood Law Program and Code Enforcement to address distressed and dangerous properties. We work hard to investigate each report in a timely manner, and will investigate this report as soon as we possibly can. Please keep in mind there is a lengthy process to remove illegal encampments. If you have any questions, please call our office at (707) 553-7218.
If you witness any suspicious or criminal activity that requires an immediate response, please call 9-1-1.
They are still there at least one of them is. The one smack dab in between the tennis courts and the old school. Lots of loud talking all 5he time. Different people daily. I have seen at least a dozen different people. Usually three or four at a time. Constant garbage everywhere. Disgusting.
Thank you Tina Encarnation and the Vallejo Police for prompt action. I do hope there is follow up to make sure they stay away from this area. They seem to like it probably because there are bathrooms nearby. Do I have to make a separate report about the garbage left behind?
It is not those bathrooms that draw them, those are kept locked when there isn't something going on at the facilities. Instead, these homeless are using the dugouts and bleachers of the ball fields as bathrooms. Last year, we played the earliest games in our league and we found feces and urine puddles regularly.
