Description
The intersection at Marlborough and Newkirk is very dangerous. While the recently installed cross walks are a good thing, cars rarely stop or even slow for pedestrians crossing. Because of its location near the Newkirk Plaza train station, and its proximity to PS 217, this intersection sees heavy foot traffic. Really what is needed is a four-way stop, but at the very least some traffic patrol would be a good thing. In addition to failure to yield to pedestrians, cars frequently drive fast and/or recklessly on Newkirk, and down Marlborough. It seems like an accident waiting to happen.
Many thanks for your time and attention.
