Description
bike path takes a 60 to 70 degree turn where it joins roadway -- if you're moving at any speed down the hill, you'll be in for a surprise -- bad design!
The bridge is being repaired, the roadway has been milled. There's NO sign that the curb cut will be modified.
and now the asphalt is down. -- just stay in the roadway!

Thanks for pointing this out Harold. The right people in the City of Lansing are aware of this design problem and have told me that it's scheduled to be redone soon. I'll fwd. them this as a reminder though.

it's still a problem for both north and south bound bicyclists - you're on a downhill run, and you have to make a sharp turn. Designed by someone that only rides 8 mph?

Thanks for sending this information. I have printed a copy of the sign and will show it to others at the Fenner Center when I do some volunteering there.

Walking,
I've given up - if I ride that stretch, I'm in the road - in fact, I'd say I've largely given up on Lansing - I don't think there's a will or a funding base to do much of anything other than what we've always done.
