Thank you for your feedback.
I was informed that this segment of Regents Road is scheduled to be widened and resurfaced in the near future. I have followed up with City staff to see if there is anything that can be done to address the potholes and bumps in the meantime. I also asked for a timeframe of when the work for the widening is actually expected to begin and will provide that information as soon as possible.

It has been nearly a year since the last update. While regents has been expanded and a bike lane added, only the expanded portion was repaved.
The road surface, is washboard and riddled with pot holes and voids, construction cones, barriers and dirt and rocks pile up in the turning lane that cannot be used for reasons beyond me.
It needs to be resurfaced, patching the potholes will exacerbate the situation not ameliorate it.
If you'd like a trip to the dentist try traveling > 25mph down this section. I wager a bet you'll dislike your journey.
I have lived on or next to this street for 8 years. Every adjacent road has been resurfaced, yet the secion of regents road between executive drive and Genessee is attritious. What's worse along these roads sit the hospitals, fire and police stations, a large community center and private school.
It seems based on the taxes I pay that this situation could be addressed. I travel this path every day to work and frankly it's a 0.2 mile section of constant irritation.

Good Afternoon,
The Regents Road Widening project is scheduled to begin construction towards the end of this year. Additional information on this project can be found on the City's website, here: http://cipapp.sandiego.gov/CIPDetail.aspx?ID=S00881
It is the City's policy to not complete any resurfacing on any streets that have any major projects (such as undergrounding, widening, or work to water/sewer lines) scheduled within the 5 years following the resurfacing. Therefore, staff would not have been able to resurface this portion prior to the widening being completed.
In order to best assist you, please email me at jmhoover@sandiego.gov with more specific information as to where on this section there are potholes and significant voids that need to be patched in the interim, along with additional information as to which turning lane it is that is being obstructed by the cones, barriers, dirt, etc.
