Removed at what cost? Same for Union Point Park and all of the other homeless encampments that are in Oakland. I'm guessing that OPD will have 3-4 officers on hand for the removal, along with DPW having 2-4 employees to put stuff in the trash and the dump fees. It will be interesting to see what the final tally comes in at.
While I want to help those in need, I also realize that some are happy to live on the streets and don't want to move into permanent housing. I'm kinda p.o'd that the homeless advocates aren't inviting those displaced into their neighborhoods... instead we residents in the flats have to deal with them and the problems they bring.
