i remember walking with URI and DPW in early May (when we were measuring tree beds for plantings on Elm and State Streets - thanks for the 8 trees on State Street!) and there was talk of someone putting flowers in the bed. I wonder if DPW knows what I'm talking about?

You don't cut weeds, genius.
You pull them.
Why don't you become the first to get your hands dirty.

Thanks Anirra,
I might but. Will you help me?

i noticed this too, ben.
it's not just a matter of pulling weeds, but having a system in place to prevent them, like cedar mulch etc.
i am curious: who is in charge of maintaining the area?
if a weed-pulling event is planned, i would be glad to help. ;)

Douglas,
You are off track once again.
This is about weeds, not flowers.
