Description
These two bags contain a few big jugs filed with a strange liquid. These could be toxic. Can we get this taken away quickly and carefully?

Can we get an update on this issue? These containers have been there for over a month. I have seen other illegal dumping requests get handled in a matter of days.

Where is the fairness in that? These containers could have toxic liquids in them.

These possibly toxic containers are still there. I have placed multiple calls about this issue and no action has resulted. Not even a call back. I encourage anyone else interested in getting these containers safely removed to call the Hazmat Service Dept of the Fire Department.
call Leroy Griffin at 238-7759 and ask for an update to this issue.
(when I called 615-5566 they told me to contact Mr. Griffin about this case)

It's been close to half of a year now.
Still no results. No action. No new information.
I submitted a new request and public works was quick to identify it as a repeat request.
They combined the new request with this one. But they still have done nothing about this potentially hazardous issue.
PLEASE UPDATE THIS REQUEST.
this issue is being ignored and I feel that it would have been dealt with 5 months ago if it was in Montclair.
I have seen requests like this get cleaned up in a week? Why is this so difficult to clean up?

After making many calls on my own, in october (i think) I was able to finally get someone on the phone. For months I was just leaving voicemails that were never acted on. I called every 2-3 weeks since this was first reported. I followed up with public works and they gave me mr. Griffen's contact info. It was a very frustrating experience to have this issue open for so long. But It has been taken care of. This was done back in October of 2013. There was no followup on what was in the containers, but they could have been hazardous. I would really hope that we would be notified if there was anything of concern in the containers.
I am stunned and completely upset as to how many times I had to call to get this addressed. This was an unknown open container of liquids that were murky and UN-identifiable. Should that not get an immediate hazmat response to check if it is toxic?
I am closing this issue now, but please review this process, it is totally ineffective to just turf this issue to a department that does not respond to these kinds of requests.
