The left turn arrow has been removed from the traffic signal at Chapel St. onto State St. because the traffic signal is going to accomdate drivers existing and entering the tunnel. In order for the re-design to work, the median needs to be removed, which is why the left turn signal has been temporariliy removed as well. This process will take at least a month before it is completed. We understand the inconveniance of this and appreciate your patience as this work is being done.
This is an older post. The left arrow was inactivated to accommodate construction at this intersection and was reactivated when construction was completed.

From the looks of it, I think that the light was intentionally taken down. I'd be surprised if it wasn't replaced soon.
