Description
The area from RailRoad Ave to Macon street is a dumping site. I contacted the city and they came and picked up the tires and left everything else. It is time to close the stretch of abandoned street. It attracks dumpers. No traffic goes down the street and the trains balst their horns only to distrub the neighborhood. Clean and clean the area to stop the dumping and I will handle Union Pacific.

I just got a video camera so I will be recording the entire area and getting proof UP blasts their horns just to distrub the neighborhood. They did it excessively and throughout the night. I have finally come up with a way to catch them in the act!!!

I've heard the horns and I live about a mile away.

TRAINS have quieted but still blow. Dumping still an issue.

Ok, they are blasting again and today, Sunday, was horrible. They quieted down after 1:00 but before there were about 15 trains blasting through. Finally recorded some video of the trash and a train, but it is going to be a fight.

Finally, some video though it is not the blasting horns in constant as it is on most days.

WFAA has completed videotapping and interviewing the train issue. It should air Wednesday night. The illegal dumping continues and I now notice several animals being dumped along the street. Some were wrapped in sheets. At least I guess they were animals.

Video finally aired and exposed the hiding of Keith Manoy, City of Dallas Trans Supervisor. He says he will be contacting the residents. Guess he is looking to find where South Dallas is located. Or maybe he is trying to figure out how to really work to do the job he is being paid to do.

According to the city, work should start on reducing the noise created by the freight trains. Due to safety concerns, a fence is to be placed along the track. The plan is to eliminate the ability for kids to play on the tracks. Eventually a quiet zone will be in place and we will finally have peace. The waiting game has started. Garland has already gotten their quiet zone into place and have moved on. How long will we have to wait to get this handled?????

Nothing had changed as far a policy. The blowing has slowed a little but is still way out of control and there are ones who intentionally blow to harass the neighborhood. City of Dallas Keith Manoy has yet to contact me or take my calls.
