Description

The turning arrow coming off of Idlewild Rd turning left onto E WT Harris only holds long enough to get 1 1/2 or maybe 2 cars through the light!!! PLEASE FIX THE TIMING ON THIS LIGHT OR MAKE IT GREEN AFTER THE ARROW!!!!!! At heavy times of traffic there have been as many as three to four times that I have waited for this turning arrow sometimes there are 4-8 cars waiting in this turning lane only to get excited when the turning arrow comes on to watch barely 2 cars to make it through this intersection and possibly a 3 hurrying behind on a very short yellow light then running a red light!!!!!!!!

Also does not trigger if you are on a motorcycle. Sometimes I will sit there three or four cycles, waiting on it to trigger, and it won't until someone else pulls up behind me.

I really wish they would fix this problem! I have to turn here every evening to come home and i swear I have ran this red light several times because you get caught mid-way through the light trying to make the turn after the two cars in front of you have had to make the u turn to go to food lion! How hard is it to adjust the light to last an additional 30 seconds to allow a car to safely make it through the intersection! @Jeff it is not only motorcycles if you are in a car also the light will not change unless someone pulls up behind you!!!

Still not fixed only 2.5 cars can make it through this turn arrow and that is only if they are actually turning and not U Turning .....if they are U Turning than only 1.5 cars can make it through this light!!!
I mean how hard is it to lengthen the light timer people!!!!!!

The arrow that I am speaking of is the Left turn arrow coming down Idlewild making a left turn onto
E WT Harris Blvd can you please please FIX THIS ISSUE!!!! All it is a re-timing issue the timer on the light just needs to be adjusted by 45-60 seconds in order to allow more cars to pass SAFELY through this light! What is it going to take to get this fixed are we waiting until it claims the life of a citizen before adjusting one little timer?!?!?!

Still not yet fixed!! Even school buses have a hard time making it through this turning arrow!

Came through that light again yesterday and I was the third car in place to make the left hand turn off of Idlewild Road onto E WT Harris and as the second car in front of me was going through the intersection the light flipped to yellow and by this time I am almost to the middle of the intersection and the light flipped to red so now the light flips when2 cars barely make it through the intersection.

Almost 2 years and this has been fixed! Amazing how long something so simple, and hazardous, took to be fixed. Finally fixed!!!
