Deteriorated sidewalk section at Church of the Redeemer. Glass cylinders (to allow light into basement levels) have fallen out leaving several 2.5-3 inch holes.

The technology to fix that issue has disappeared.
It also sounds like those glass cylinders are on private property.
Posting an issue like this here is totally ineffective.
Talk to someone at the church.. I'm sure they will be happy to try something to fix the problem

This is section of the city sidewalk. I represent the church. We're trying to ensure that we follow the proper protocol for remedying the situation, and from the city's website, this seemed the place to report the issue. Other suggestions?

Bob - This is the resposibility of the Church, not the City. The City has no responsibility for the Church's sidewalk unless a City tree caused the damage. Sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner.

Sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner, but in certain circumstances, the City can help defray costs/be responsible for the repair when the City has some liability associated with the condition. I'd call your Alderman, Justin Elicker about this and see if he can get the City to do a review of the sight to determine the cause of the issue and the responsibility for addressing it.
