Plants Overgrown at Marie Reed Learning Center is Open 4 People want this fixed
Plants and trees along the sidewalk on California St and Old Morgan Place NW on the city property apparently haven't been trimmed in years. This overgrowth is not only unsightly, but presents great hiding spots for criminals. The overgrowth issue is now even more apparent with the sidewalk and street repair currently going on in the area. On some parts of the new sidewalk along Old Morgan Place, pedestrians are afforded barely 1/4 of the walking surface. 1723 Florida Ave NW,Washington,DC 20009

There is currently heavy construction in this area, but to the resident's point - the shrubs do need to be cut back. Perhaps the shrubs could be removed and replaced with trees? I'm not entirely sure if UFA or DPR has jurisdiction over this matter, so I have copied both agencies.

Thank you!

Only the shrubs on Champlain/Old Morgan School place were trimmed. The worst offenders on California St are still providing extraordinary publicly owned ugliness.
