I swear I'm going to mount my video camera to the telephone pole at Feagan and Reinerman. At 5 p.m. rush hour, there are dozens of near misses. The solution is to put stop signs on the Feagan sides also. It's impossible for a turning vehicle off Feagan to turn onto Reinerman, when there is a car wating at teh stop sign on Reinerman, so the Feagan vehicle has to let the Reinerman vehicle go first. Then any oncoming cars behind the Feagan driver start to go around the Feagan Driver. Of course they are going way too fast and almost hit the Reinerman driver coming onto Feagan. It's a mess and very dangerous.
I'm guessing this case was closed because speed bumps were installed. That has helped some; now the idiots (a number of them who live in Caceras) just speed between bumps. In some places the "20 mph" street signs need to be repositioned. Example, coming west on Feagan from Durham, just past Behthje, is such a sign that was placed hidden behind a crepe myrtle. Nice work, folks. I think a few tickets would help, but the chances of getting a traffic cop out here are slim to none.
We live on this corner, though the neighbor who originally submitted this does not. This problem still exists and it's dangerous. We hear screeching tires and honking horns frequently. Wrecks have occurred on three of the four corners. Stop signs and crosswalks would be invaluable and increase safety for pedestrians and drivers.
