To my dismay I found my garbage being rummaged through! Not while it was placed outside for pickup, but right in my own driveway! That is trespassing.
This is craziness. A mess was made and this is totally unacceptable.
After a few personal accounts, I have witnessed other people rummaging through recyclable containers and garbage up and down the street on
pickup days. They mess up the recycle
bins and thus, the city sometimes won't
pick up the bins!
Has this city gone completely down the
tubes? We cannot put out our garbage to get collected without
fearing people rummaging through
This is absurd. I confronted a man who was doing this and he had nothing to say.

This is an otherwise pleasant, residential street that dead ends at Golden Hill Nursing Home. The only stop sign is about a half mile from the GH entrance, at the corner of Marius & Greenkill. Cars and trucks zoom along our street, seemingly without regard for the children and other residents. Is there anything that can be done to ensure safety-- speed bumps, a lowered speed limit sign, etc?

Speeding traffic on Hasbrouck Avenue, illegal turns onto Livingston Street and cars going the wrong way on the Delaware Avenue one way street have created many fender benders here. Also cars trying to pass on Hasbrouck Avenue (heading toward East Chester Street) have crashed numerous times into a telephone pole on the SIDEWALK.
What would be a plausible solution? A traffic circle? Speed bumps? A four way traffic light?

The bums in the plaza specifically hanging out at Hannaford are disruptive. There is a woman named Barb with blond hair, her and her friends are constantly buying beer in and out all day and harrassing everyone for money or a ciggarette. There are also plenty of fist fights in the parking lot over their "camping site" right behind Hannaford in that little patch of woods. Not to mention the constant calls for ambulances because they have drank to much or took too many drugs and are passing out on the benches. Who do you think is paying for this?

There are numerous bums hanging around and sleeping in the park this year. The issue is most of them use foul language and drink there all day. Please help in cleaning it up. Thanks.

The back entrance to the Golden Hill Nursing Home is on Glen Street, and cars and trucks frequently speed down it, as there is no stop sign for about a half mile stretch. Can anything be done to ensure the safety of the children and other residents of this otherwise pleasant street? Perhaps speed bumps approaching the stop sign at Golden Hill, or a lowered speed limit sign?

I live in midtown Kingston and does anyone ever stop "completely" at a stop sign anymore? I have small children and i can't let them play in this neighborhood in fear that some idiot (young or old) will just roll right thru the stop signs on any of these streets and not see my children playing! Can the police please start enforcing this law or can the city please invest in speedbumps or stoplights. COME TO A FULL STOP PEOPLE...DIDN'T YOU LEARN THAT DURING YOUR ROAD TEST!?

I can't understand why the candidates for mayor are against the housing project at the old kings Inn, It will create jobs and from what i read in the freeman it's not for homeless, it's for veterans, seniors and single mothers with supervision, this is a good use of this land which is and eyesore in Kingston.

Cars are going way to fast around this turn. There are adults and children that may be crossing the street a driver may not have time to stop. I doubt that a sign would make these drivers slow down.

they stand right on the edge of the road while cars are waiting for the light.one day they'll end up getting hit by a car they are so close to moving cars.its a safety issue and a distraction to drivers.

There's been a real problem in the last few weeks, with man and woman, who are living in the woods near Hannaford's on the Plaza. In the early mornings from 8am to dark , they make their way to the park, sitting under the tree near the bus stops and over near the statues.

In the spring there was a complaint on See-Click-Fix about having this area repaved...the issue has since closed, but the repairs that were supposed to have happened in May are still not repaired. Lousbury Pl. is a bumpy mess at the top, much like Main St. was, and Irving was promised repairs for the damage made by water run-off. Is Lounsbury Pl/Irving still on the DOT's list of areas to be repaired and repaved?

There has been an ongoing problem with a man named Bill P. for more than a month on my street. He is homeless and lives in his car often. His car was on my street on Vandeusen. He was told by Perry's to move it off of the street last night due to the fact that it had been sitting there for more than 3 weeks. The engine is blown in the car. Last night Bill pushed the car )with the help of a friend ) in front of my house on Vandeusen St. I told him to move it or lose it because I was calling KPD.. He then pushed it around Broadway to M&L Nail Salon across from Perry's where it sits right now as we speak.. I called the police last night at 8pm and reported this behavior. NO RESPONSE. I called back around 8;20.NO RESPONSE. I called again at 8: 30 and was told that an officer would check this out.. STILL NO OFFICER SHOWED UP. I can see the car from my window. By 9pm I gave up.. I watched 3 KPD cars go down Broadway and not one stopped and looked at the car. Not one called me or stopped at my residence to ask me about this problem.. They ask your name, phone number and sometimes your social security number.. Why? because I live on Vandeusen St.. This is B.S in CAPS.. This man is a problem. He urinates by the car. has defecated by Perry's building and he lives in his car, but KPD has said it is registered and the tags are good, but the car does not run.. For that fact alone it should be removed from the city streets. Now it is this poor lady's problem. She has a great business and does not want riff-raff parking in her lot.. What a shame no one is doing anything.. I can not solve this on my own.. I need help!!!!
