150-174 Homestead Ave Hartford, CT 06112, USA -
Upper Albany
Right in front of building 168 Homestead Ave there is a large pothole approximately 4 feet across.
During rush hour, when large delivery trucks, or standard pickup trucks pass, it creates a large booming noise. This noise is so loud it is startling. It sounds exactly like a car accident. I've looked out my window several times expecting to see a fender bender. Although I know to expect this noise multiple times daily, it still makes me jump whenever I hear large vehicles pass over the pothole. And I'm certain their has been some vehicle damage to some of the commuter cars that pass through daily from West Hartford to Downtown Hartford.
I am not able to send audio of my recording through this app. But I can send it directly to an email if provided with one.
This pothole has been repaired previously. But apparently the repair work was inadequate, thus required re-patching.
It is noisy enough with the sound of the commuters on a daily basis, but when you add on the booming of the pothole it's frustrating. PLEASE DO SOMETHING.
I am also forwarding a copy of this email to the transportation department, and to the mayor's office.
I would appreciate and assistance you can provide in this matter.
