2018 Rock n Roll marathon organizers vandalized this street tree with many heavy staples. Using staples harms the tree. If posting on a tree is acceptable, it must be done with tape. Can your urban forestry or public outreach or whoever has to deal with the Rock n Roll marathon people pass on the message to not damage street trees? City of Raleigh staff and residents work too hard to plant and protect street trees to allow this kind of abuse.

A large tree has apparently been removed by city arborist and a 100-pound log was abandoned in the street. There is an orange cone marking the trunk but cars are still accidentally hitting the log.
