street light on Kentucky has not been working for two weeks. No city workers have come to repair it and it has actually been a problem street light for over two years since the added the solar element or the LED lights. Now last night some one left their shoes on my front porch. This area of vallejo is a very high crime area with lots of break ins into homes and cars and cars being stolen or abandoned. We also have to deal with campers parked all over this area with people living in campers and stealing from local residents. The police, of course, are unavailable in Vallejo. The next person who steps on my porch at night will be...

The city water smells with a strong chemical smell. What is that? Even my hands smell after washing them with the liquid stench. What is up with the water?

One of our prideful citizens dumped all their garbage in National Alley, between Branciforte and Santa Clara. I picked up the garbage and put in neatly in a large over-sized bag and placed it next to a grey garbage can ready to be dumped. Recology picked up the bag and threw it on the other side of the alley. I called the about why they could not just pick it up and up it into the garbage. The said because no one called the and told the to pick it up. REALLY!!! With the garbage problem this city has, Recology Vallejo seems unwilling to aid in even the smallest bit, even when the tossed garbage is picked up and properly placed next to a can for pick up. Why does this organization have the city contract?? Can't we find a company that willl help the city instead of ignore the city???

National Alley between Branciforte and Santa Clara: There are some workers in my alley working on the yard behind me but they must access the yard from the alley. The alley is clearly marked NO PARKING AT ANY TIME yet their vehicles are parked in the alley along with a backhoe working on digging up the sewer line. They are running the backhoe over a 15 inch deep pothole and increasing it size, in other words they are making a bigger mess of an already big mess in the National alley.. Do they have permits for this?? Can you check this today the 12th of July? I will be home at 3 pm today please come by.

The alley is blocked in the evenings by a large boat and trailor parked half on private property and half in the alley. Just across from the boat is a cottage with no parking space provided by the landlord/owner so the tenant has to park in the alley, too. When they are both parked in the alley no car can get past them. The boat belong to a man renting a garage space, but doesn't live near here.

Please site the boat owner and tell the to move the boat. There are two signs in the alley that state NO PARKING AT ANY TIME posted in plane site.

I just read my previous report on the same issue. I see that once again the city decided to do nothing about this issue. Great! After one successful report that brought a cop who ticked two cars in the ally, we are back to the real Vallejo I have grown to know over the last 8 years - Do Nothing At All.

Now a big boat is parked in the allley blocking the garbage pickup man from coming into the alley. Doesnt have enough room to get through. And this owned of the boat doesn't even live here in my part of town; he is only renting a garage. Half the boat is on private property but the other half sicks way out in the alley. This is between Branciforte and Santa Clara St. in National Alley.

Justine, can you do something about this, please.

The real problem is the police department in Vallejo, which refuses to enforce the laws of the city. The all need to be fired and a new type of department created. We desperately need to end the current police behavior and instill an new police department the will enforce the laws of the city.

Cars park in the alley and block access for emergency vehicles and trash trucks, not to mention regular cars. Police never patrol the alleys were most criminals (theives, drug dealers and prostitutes) thrive.

When is the Vallejo Police Department going to start worrying about enforcing the law more that their retirement at the city's expenses for never enforcing the laws.

We need a new police department .

Massive environmental destruction to the mountain range on the eastern side of Vallejo. The whole city suffers loss of property value. My property has declined in value from $350K to $195K over the last year. What a town!
Do any elected officials actually live in this town or are they all from Concord and Fairfield?

Massive sink hole in National Alley between Santa Clara and Branciforte. Currently about 15 inches deep and a massive piece of concrete road falling into it which pushes up the other end of the concrete block so it sticks up on one side. It looks like it might be a water line from my neighbors could have caused the hole but that is hard to say. I expect a car or trash truck will fall into the hole when the concrete slab falls into sink hole completely.

How did my neighbor get the city of Vallejo to designate the area in front of his house as a Handicap Zone complete with sign and blue
painted curb? He and his wife are not handicap. In a residential area? I am confused by this. He has four houses built on his lot, a regular sized lot. This is the real issue with parking near his property. Apparently any thing is ok in Vallejo.

There is a company currently destroying Vallejo, The have completely torn down a mountain east of town and are expanding to the whole range of mountains on the East Side of Vallejo. It is terrible looking what is going on and environmentally a disaster.

Buy a home in Vallejo and watch the city council destroy the value of your home. Now they want a concrete company to start operations in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It could be yours, but for sure it won't be theirs.

The alley behind my house (National Alley between Santa Clara and Braciforte) is blocked by cars who park in the middle of the alley and along side the alley - half in the alley way and half on private property. There are signs stating "No Parking At Any Time" but the are unheeded by people who live in the alleys. It is a danger in that if a fire truck needs to go up the alley or an ambulance there is no way to pass.

I have asked two or three policemen to drive up the alley and give out a ticket or two., but they never even came by after they told me they would.

Why don't the police in Vallejo do anything? Are we just paying for their eventual retirement? All they seem to be doing in this town is waiting for the day.

I don't know how a city can get by with cops like this town has. Obviously there is no one in the police department that cares about this town or the safety of its citizens. They all live in other cities and only come here to earn their early retirement money, eat donuts, and drink coffee. Where to they all hang out all day. You rarely see them driving around town. What are they doing?

Syar Industries is destroying Vallejo's eastern mountains. It has gone too far and is slowly tearing down the whole range. It is time to stop this behaviour which is destroy views and property values over the whole city. It is a ugly eye soar for the whole of Vallejo.

Everyone in the city will benefit and we need to stop this company's destructive business practices before we loose our hills on the eastern side altogether. It is a environmental desaster and changing the very nature of our environment.

    Close Syar Industries.
