Previous request 14579291 was closed indicating I need to send the request to the State. I could not comment since the thread was closed for any additional comments (which should not be for the person who created the trouble). I did as noted and the state responded as follows:
MDOT SHA closed service request SR-0486299 on 5/30/2023. We appreciate that you took the time to contact us.
The concern/issue/request falls under the jurisdiction of Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works, not MDOT SHA.

This has been an issue for many years now and has been submitted in the past with no resolve. Now it is being passed off to others when it is soley the responsibility of the county.
It would be great if the county could follow through and fix the issue as they are obviously required to do.
Also the comments section of requests should not be closed to the person who initiated the request so these issues can be resolved without having to redundantly duplicate the request being made.
The issue is clearly a safety issue causing folks to walk in the street. Clearly it is evident the issue has been ongoing as seen by the attached photos.

There is no option to provide more than one photo. We have tried to contact the supervisor several times w/o any response. In 2022 our sidewalks and road were redone and when they were done this is what we are left with. The after photo is only a small showing of the issue. I have no option to show any before photos. The work done on the grassy areas is subpar at best. The meters are sticking up; the seeding was sparse at best; bare areas have resulted, tripping hazards are plentiful. Part of our driveway has cracked due to the work that was done. We are requesting the county come back out and fill in the dirt and heavily seed along the entire road on both sides. The photos are of my lawn but all the homes are similar. I would like to provide before photos so it is evident the residents here work hard to keep up their property and this poor workmanship needs to be rectified to bring the areas back to where they were prior to this work being done. Our driveway needs to be repaired as well. Residents should not have to be responsible for this monetarily when it is a result of poor workmanship and/or caring on the part of the county workers that performed the work initially.

We did not get our yard waste collection picked up which is usually the same day as our trash and recycle collection. We do not see any information regarding the yard waste, other than what is noted below which we are not currently affected by; therefore we are reporting it here to find out when it/if it will occur today due to the holiday. Thank you for a expedited response so we do not have to leave the can on the curb unnecessarily.

I reported this on 4/30/22 -- it is now 5/10/22 and nothing has happened to get this vehicle off our street. The car has been there now for about a month...tags are expired...illegally parked the wrong way as well as sitting out in the road being parked haphazardly on the corner. There are not papers or anything showing that anyone has made any effort to get this vehicle moved.
Had to request new listing since my initial listing does not provide any option to reach out to anyone for further assistance.

Rats have located themselves under our shed and are going between our shed and the neighbor next door. They more than likely originated from my neighbor since for 2 years she did not take care of her yard. The yard front and back was not cut for almost 2 years. There were complaints sent to the county and finally last year she had the yard taken care of. We believe the rats originated there and since the area has started to be cleaned up they are now roaming. We have had to schedule someone to come and set bait traps (but we are doubtful they will work since we have set traps and they have maneuvered around them. It really doesn't seem fair that we have to take the full brunt of this financial burden when it started because our neighbor could not take care of her responsibilities. Is there anything that the county does for assistance in this, if so PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP! The folks are coming tomorrow to set the traps. If I can avoid have to pay a couple hundred dollars I surely would like to especially now, and especially since it really should be the neighbor footing the bill in the first place. Please advise of any assistance we can get, thank you very much in advance.

Phirne Rd Glen Burnie, MD, 21061, USA - South Gate
Road services are needed at the end of Phirne Rd and Crain Hwy South. The entire area turning into and out of Glen Burnie Park from the corner up to at least the first house. Turning right onto Phirne off Crain Hwy South there are potholes; one being sizeable. There are also sizeable dips in the road heading out of the development to Phirne in both right and left turn lanes. It's like being in a rock tumbler heading out of the development.
These concerns have been REPEATEDLY reported...the pothole has been 'fixed` several times...however the issue exiting Phirne Rd HAS NEVER BEEN ADDRESSED!
It would be great if the section of road from Crain Hwy South intersecting onto Phirne could be properly repaired at minimum up to Fleagle Rd.

At Phirne Rd and Crain Highway South there are several deep potholes where the roads meet at the end of Phirne rd in the entrance and right exit lane. There is also the start of a sinkhole which has deepened in the year ir so uts been there. The area from Crain Highway South at Phirne Rd is horrendous from the beginning of the road continuing past Fleagle Rd. Immediate attention is needed to repair this area which has been fully neglected for several years.

The grassy area next to the left turn lane at North Crain Highway and Hidden Brook Drive there is a LARGE hole (looks like a sink hole) that could cause a major issue if someone hits it. This is the light that would turn left to go to the #26 fire department.

We are tax paying folks and part of those taxes is waste/ trash removal. I do not appreciate being schooled by someone and having someone pick through my trash bag to decipher it. Then just leave a sticker and not take the bag of trash. The bag has trash and leaves and its mixed - by our descretion! Yes there is a BAG on top of the leaves but there was also trash throughout. THEREFORE we put it out as TRASH. We do not need to be told HOW to put trash out by anyone!! I don't appreciate being told things will get done if something is done the proper way...WE DID IT THE PROPER WAY considering what WE KNEW WAS in the bag. Someone poking a hole in the bag and making the decision to not take it is ridiculous.
We put our curbside pickup out every week and do it as indicated with X's on bags, containers not too heavy, recycle just so... how about not deciding for the taxpayer what is and isn't trash!
On the subject of doing things 'the proper way' -- How about when the trash is collected and recycle bin is emptied the folks on the truck put the bins back where they TOOK THEM FROM instead of in the middle of the road or driveway. How about not leaving pieces of trash in the road when dumping the bins/cans. If this service expects things done is a specific way (which we always follw) Then WE EXPECT TO HAVE THINGS DONE THE SAME!!!
There is NO REASON this bag should not have been taken today. It was trash -- leaves are trash, disposed of food, etc. is trash -- therefore it should have been taken. This is unacceptable but as usual the taxpayer has no recourse -- the county makes money off of the recycle, makes rediculous stipulations on what, how and when -- and we pay for a service that we are not receiving without consideration on the otherside - because there were leaves in the bag.
When someone is sent out to take care of an issue, they need to take care of the complaint and not try to talk down to the homeowner. It was not appreciated nor necessary for the women that was here to talk as if I was a school kid, we did the process the correct way -- it was NOT all yard waste, there fore no 'X' and we put it out as trash!
As noted earlier a part of my taxes pays for this service. I was not afforded that service today -- regardless of what other people decided. There is enough financial waste in this county and state -- there are enough stipulations on something as simple as picking up trash and now we are paying for a service that is descretionary by what someone else deems trash or not. We should not have to dispose of this bag on our own.
So going forward, if 'the proper way' is excepted by the taxpayer, be sure that on the other end its being provided "in the proper way" as well.
