This car is still here. Its a darn shame that the philly police abandoned auto form got removed.
This is STILL a MAJOR ISSUE on our quiet block. If the city doesn't step up and deal with ITS OWN PET PROJECT i'm afraid that this is going to get UGLY. We can not open our windows because of the ear-shattering noise. When they park on my side of the street the van is less than 10feet from my bedroom window. 100DB after 12AM. Will the city pay my air conditioning bill?
Everyone who makes a left or u-turn here deserves to lose their license for 1 year.
this intersection needs policing. someone is going to get killed in a road rage incident if drivers are left to deal with this nightmare themselves. every single day folks drive right up to the front of the line and cut off the patient drivers who actually waited (up to 30minutes!) for their turn.
See, the problem is that without the rough surface every 10th pickup truck that comes around the first turn ends up in the wrong direction.
Yea the surface is terrible but it was INTENTIONAL has resulted in many fewer accidents.
Now if they'd only consider SUV's trucks. I don't understand how a ford ranger is banned but a giant tahoe is ok ..

This is complete BS. Have you noticed anyone taking photos in your area? A woman in a gold chevy perhaps? Somone interrupted a woman on our street taking photos of front gardens .. Who is your councilperson?
classy. it would seem an easy way to catch these short dumpers would be to setup a 'sting dumpster' . in our neighborhood there are a few contractors who routinely short dump their trash on the sidewalk. the city seems to have no interest in catching them.
This is still not resolved. This vehicle was operating after 12AM several times in the past week. Is it legal to operate such a vehicle in a non-commercial setting?
Vehicles are not stopping at all, including septa drivers who should know better. I witnessed a number of buses including the route 30 bus number 5161 blow straight through the intersection at high speed.
This was/is an egregious safety concern. I'm sure the lights will be broken again soon. This stretch of market street is a death trap for pedestrians.
I hate to say it but this stretch of chelten has so many issues i don't know where to start. There is so much crime between germantown ave and the 400 block of chelten that i'm sure the police have their hands full :\\ There is a strong police presence in the area but it doesn't seem to change much.
Thats a nice car. Seems a little strange to me that someone would park it like that on the corner.

The bags of trash are still there. I've noticed police cars hiding out in the parking lots from time to time but not much has changed. I turned the corner at about 9am a couple weeks ago and there was a man urinating on the school wall exposing himself to me, thank god the sun was in my eyes;) More debris has been dumped behind the building. These problems are going to continue indefinately unless: a) the building is razed b) a tenant is obtained.
