  • 101 Central St Stoneham 02180, United States - Stoneham
Weeds over growing tricommunity greenway near Central St. This is the only stretch with serious weed issues, probably because it’s the oldest paved stretch.
  • 2–22 Bow St Stoneham 02180, United States - Stoneham
Wires down on sidewalk. Corner of Bow and Spring. Looks like phone service.
  • 44 Pleasant St Stoneham 02180, United States - Stoneham
    Crosswalk sign falling down.
  • 86–236 Broadway Stoneham 02180, United States - Stoneham
Stop sign down, north east corner of Broadway and MacArthur.
  • 103-105 Central St Stoneham 02180, United States - Stoneham
Dead squirrel by side of bike path, about 100 yards in from central street, north side of path near substation. Under oak tree with four trunks. Not a good week for squirrels!
  • 52 Pleasant St Stoneham 02180, United States - Stoneham
    Dead squirrel on sidewalk
  • 2 Eustis St Stoneham, MA 02180, USA - Stoneham
Left over temporary traffic sign base on lawn, in the northwest corner of Eustis and Spring. I think this used to have a warning sign during construction on Spring several months ago. Looks like the sign itself was removed and the base moved to the grass, but the grass grew up and hid it when construction was done.
  • 30 Spring St Stoneham, MA 02180, USA - Stoneham
Dangerous traffic pylon in street at the intersection of Spring and Summer Streeets. It's been hit by vehicles twice today and is now laying overturned in the middle of Spring St.
  • 20 Pleasant Street Stoneham, MA 02180, USA - Stoneham

On the utility pole outside St Patrick School on Pleasant St, the anchor cable over the sidewalk had been severed. It appears a car leaving the parking lot might have run into it.

The cable itself is laying on the ground. It should probably be removed for safety. But also the telephone pole itself now lacks the anchoring the original engineer intended, and it's safety may be compromised.

The identification on the pole says:

  • 10 Thomas Circle Stoneham, MA 02180, USA - Stoneham

    Stop on Thomas Circle.

Thomas Circle is really a T, where each end of the cross street is a cul-de-sac. Where the base intersects the cross should be a full stop, but many people think that because both the base and the cross street are all Thomas Circle, they don't need to stop. With lots of small children and few sidewalks it's an accident waiting to happen.

It would be nice to have a stop sign at the cross of the T, even if it's just temporary to educate the residents of the importance of stopping.

12 Thomas Circle Stoneham, MA 02180, USA - Stoneham

The street light between 10 and 12 Thomas circle has been acting up for the last few weeks. At night, the light is off most of them time, and when it's on it's very dim.

In the attached photo, the street light is on, but you can see that the flash on my iPhone was throwing more light.
