Pedestrian Safety and access to city facilities Open

2308-2372 Holland Rd Virginia Beach, VA - Virginia Beach city

There are no sidewalks or safe places for pedestrians to walk nor bicyclists to ride from the intersection of Justice Walk Lane to the new Nimmo Parkway extension. The roadway is crumbling at the shoulders into a ditch on the eastern side, and a ditch and cemetary on the western side. To travel this section of road any way but by car is to take one's life into his own hands! When the new section of Nimmo is complete we would love to ride bikes to the library and recreation center, but this will be impossible with the current state of Holland Road right outside of the neighborhood entrance.

  The plan is as outlined above. There are many competing needs throughout the City, and many projects have been waiting for several years. We cannot put this project ahead of others that are equally or more important and are also on the schedule.

  There is a new development being planned for the Venner property at the corner of Princess Anne and Holland, with eleven units. The city is planning to land-lock those new homes as well?
  
  I would like the traffic and engineering department to review this issue more carefully.

pot hole Closed

264 Right Before Lynnhaven Exit Virginia Beach, VA - Virginia Beach city

there is an huge pot hole located in the center lane to the left. on 264 near the Lynnhaven exit. My car hit it Friday night and blew out and ruined my tire. It happened so fast that there was no time to change lanes. It is extremely deep and dangerous.

Street Light out Closed

Sandy Bay Drive Virginia Beach, VA - Northwest

We have a street light out on Sandy Bay Drive. We need this fixed quickly for security purposes, as we have had 3 major home burglaries and various cars broken into since the beginning of 2013. Our precinct has a long list of incidents on this street alone. The light that is out is located between homes # 4340 and 4336. Thank you

huge pothole Closed

1609 Laskin Road Virginia Beach, VA - Northeast

There is a very large pothole located on the feeder road at the light there at Taylor's Do-It and Laskin Road. When it rains, it fills up, is hard to see and is so easy to hit!
