City of La Mesa

When will the police so something about the high robbery and burglary rate in La Mesa. This is getting to be ridiculous. It seems that La Mesa has gone from being a quiet nice place to live to a combat zone, where helicopters scream out inaudible descriptions of thugs who got away again and again. This happen nearly daily now. What is going on? Perhaps the city should rethink the idea of high density housing. I'd like to see the local gov't begin to focus on quality of life for it's citizens and tax-payers rather than greasing it's coffers.
