Requests: noise complaint
180 Highland Ave Malden, MA, 02148, USAThis noise on Highland Ave between Thacher street and Malden St is becoming ridiculous. My neighbors and I have complained many times and nothing is being done. The paving company has done an unacceptable job. I am being woken up many times during the night by the ungodly noise from trucks going by. You need to fix this problem. The way of life around our homes is being interrupted. Please do something about this!
169 Highland Ave Malden, MA, 02148, USARight around 169 Highland Ave there was recently street work being done. The street was left unfinished. Do you know if it will be completely paved anytime soon? The unfinished area causes an extreme amount of noise when large trucks pass over it. Thank you.
181 Highland Ave Malden, MA, 02148, USAA strip of road in front of my home was worked on a couple of weeks ago. The road was not leveled properly and trucks make a loud bang when they encounter it. Please help. Thanks. Sam
180 Highland Ave Malden, MA, 02148, USAAny idea when the paving company is coming back to pave between 177 Highland Avenue and 180 Highland Avenue? The noise of trucks traveling by was bad before but it's even worse now since they dug it up. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
Highland Ave & School St Malden, MA, 02148, USAGood Morning. I’ve reported this problem before and there has been a lackluster response. It’s been a month now that roadwork was done in front of 181 Highland Ave in Malden. Because of the SHODDY, Uneven finish, every time a truck passes through, it makes a LOUD noise and shakes the house. My house is over a hundred years old. Is the city of Malden going to take care of damages to my foundation???
Not to mention the racket it creates at Night!!!!
The day after I last complained, they came and put huge orange barrels in the middle of the road. This has made parking on the street even more dangerous!!!
PLEASE EXPEDITE THIS MATTER ASAP!! It’s been a MONTH!!!

7 Harnden Rd Malden, MA, 02148, USAHello, Apt #1 at 7 Harnden Road plays the music extremely loud at all hours of the day and night. We've called the police several times and have been to court, but nothing has been done. Myself and the 3rd floor tenant work and have dogs. We can not get any sleep and our dogs are having a hard time, it's borderline animal cruelty what the 1st floor tenant is doing to our dogs and we have no way of stopping him. PLEASE HELP!!

Last year there was some water pipe work done in front of our home and when the road was repaved, it ended up with a dip and a bump. We're on Pleasant Street/Route 60 which is high traffic and lots of trucks roll by. The noise from trucks going over this part of the road is awful and can shake the house. Any chance of this being repaved so it's smooth again?
Many thanks from the residents at 490 and 492 Pleasant.

It would be absolutely amazing if there could be a fenced-in dog park in Devir Park. There are many of us who walk our dogs on leash near the park--this comes up in conversations among us often. On the southeast side of the park (where I've attempted to place the pin=)) there is a good deal of unused grassy space. It would be such a great thing to have a fenced in dog area where pups could romp around and play safely with each other.
Trying to think of possible 'cons' to this proposal----but there really are none. In terms of noise level, there can't be an issue as there are basketball and baseball games there all the time with significantly more noise. And in terms of 'messes' - we would clean up after our animals.
If more steps are required for something like this, I'd love to know what the process would be. I would be happy to spearhead an effort to take the steps to create a fenced-in, dog-friendly area. If it's done right, it would be an amazing attribute to the park.
Again, I'm happy to take this on as I am a nearby resident (one block away on Wicklow Street). I would more than welcome a phone call to chat more about this.
Thank you so much for your time!

It's not so much "potholes" as it is the whole stretch from Thacher Street to Malden Street (running North AND South) that needs some kind of repairing. I'm not sure if its the pavement around the manholes or that some part of the road is sinking. The noise on this stretch is unbearable. When trucks ride by it sounds like an explosion. I've been awaken suddenly numerous times at night. This has been an ongoing issue for a while now and would appreciate someone coming to investigate this. If any of my neighbors on Highland Avenue are reading this please let them know exactly what I'm talking about. I can't be the only one that hears this.
