Still it flows, almost two weeks after it started. Thousands of gallons of water have gone right down the drain. Meanwhile, the eight inch pipe opening is left wide open, creating a significant hazard. On top of that, four to six inch deep water ponds are left at the base of each disabled access ramp, in direct violation of ADA-related accessibility requirements. The city is well aware of the water ponding issue here. It has been reported on multiple occassions by multiple residents over multiple years. On at least 60 days per year, it looks just like this. Even the lightest rain causes it -- a textbook ADA violation. This is despite the fact that one of the ramps was just redone. It was required to be done in compliance with ADA-related requirements. It was not. And the city knows it. It is willful and blatant violation and yet another example of how the residents of this decaying street are getting walked all over by a city government that could obviously care less. The incompetence, irresponsibility, and lack is accountability is staggering. Please get your act together and fix it -- and fix it RIGHT this time.

I noticed the Facebook post that Mayor Christenson will be joining the residents of 33 Park St. A privately owned building protesting the rent increases which are still below the HUD published affordable rents for the city

Since we all know the Jefferson Apartment Complex redevelopment of the City Hall Site is the Crown Jewel of Mayor Christenson's time in office - if the mayor truly cares about affordable housing and this is not a stunt to get a few votes How many affordable units did he demand Jefferson incorporate into then City Hall Project? NONE
