Requests: road safety
25 Willow St Cohoes, NY 12047, USA
The entire sidewalk near the empty lot on Willow Street is completely overgrown with weeds and tree branches.
The City of Cohoes should clear these, because it makes it difficult for people to park there due to all the overgrowth which scratches your car.
(Not to mention, it makes a great hiding place for skunks and other unwanted rodents to hide in this jungle of an empty lot.)
The branches and weeds also totally cover the sidewalk, requiring pedestrians (especially the numerous children which live in the neighborhood) to cross the street, which is already a dangerous street due to speeders as well as people driving the WRONG DIRECTION up this ONE-WAY street, because there are no DO NOT ENTER signs at the bottom of the street.
Elm St. Watervliet/Maplewood, NYThe Truck and car traffic are a serious problem. The trucks fly up and down the road and create dust and noise. Also, the road is much too narrow and too close to the houses,(no sidewalks either)as for the cars..they are speeding and jumping the hill that acts like a ramp.
9 Corporate Woods Blvd Albany, NY 12211, USADrivers completely ignore the 30 MPH speed limit when coming off and on the Exit 5A ramp where it changes from 4 lanes to 2 into Corporate Woods Boulevard! People come off the ramp and go 70 MPH and then try to pass the drivers who are going the proper speed! These· Reported by anonymous · Flag Flagged
Forts Ferry Road Latham, NY 12110, USA
Forts Ferry is a very narrow heavy traffic road without sidewalks along most of its length.
Adults and children would like to walk/bike along this road, but it is unsafe (e.g. to reach the Mohawk bike trail).
Both for safety reasons and to encourage a healthy walking/biking lifestyle (because this road connects the Mohawk with the new shopping areas, e.g. Target store) it would be of great benefit to make this road more pedestrian friendly.
It might also encourage more business into the Latham Farms area.
10 East Hills Blvd. loudonville, NY
Cars speed along East Hills Blvd. (EHB), primarily during commuting hours (7-9 a.m. and 4-5 p.m.) in both directions. Some are going as fast as 50 mph in this residential area. There are blind curves where someone could be seriously injured. One in particular is at Conway Cir. where drivers can't see northbound EHB traffic.
Also noteworthy: there have been at least 3 vehicle/tree accidents along EHB over the past 3 years.· Reported by Susan Egan · Flag Flagged
15a Corporate Woods Blvd Albany, NY 12211, USAAfter the contractor repaved the ramp, there is a speed bump at the joint of pavement/concrete across the entire width of highway at the top of the ramp, far left lane is the worse. I don't enjoy doing "Duke of Hazard" being airborne every night. Crash landing has been doing some damage, replacing upper/lower ball joints, oil pan plug, tie rods, etc., and becoming very costly. All you need to do is shave down the speed bump. Thank you for helping in this matter.· Reported by ken · Flag Flagged
49-51 Spring Street Rd Albany, NY 12211, USApine trees are getting very large and are blocking more and more of the view around an already bad curve.... right around the sign for "schuyler meadows club" people come speeding up the road and people pulling out cant see them, i have seen a lot of close calls.. someone is going to be killed if this isnt taking care of
454 Kenwood Ave Delmar, NY 12054, USAThe stretch of Kenwood ave. from the Four Corners to Cherry Ave is extremely prone to flooding. This flooding always leads to enormous pot holes and large puddles. It causes major wear and tear on vehicles as well as safety concerns. The water is sometimes so high that hydroplaning, blinding oncoming cars with water splashed onto their windshield and the possibility of your car stalling are all very real threats.· Reported by Concerned Delmar Resident · Flag Flagged
Hudson Shores Apts Watervliet, NY 12189, USA
Its really a shame that watervliet couldnt do anything about hudson shores apts
this is not a thoroughfare so can you kindly ask your children to pls keep their boards and bikes off this property as it is private. their has been such an awful decrease in the use of the property of the people that live there...imagine coming out of your apt and getting run into by a bicyclist doing tricks or on those skateboards...then again who suffers...
save the tricks for someplace else...
perhaps the city of watervliet would like to open a boarders dome for the skaters and that would eliminate that problem...and for the bicyclists sidewalks and bike paths ..so please...
let hudson shores please remain in peace...dont make the people afraid to come outside...for some that is the only solace they can have so dont take it from them...imagine going to your drs and not being able to make the appt bec you were run down by speeding byclists or skateboarders...doing flips..
please you all have a lot more room to roam in then we do in our little corner of this wonderful city..so please let us live in peace ...and do your part...
you would think that perhaps the school or city could open an area of the city for such things ...
so please..whoever you are stay away from hudson shores unless of course you live there or have family that does as you are all welcome...
and why your at it ....can you stay away from price chopper also...again that is a major thoroughfare ....but with all the little bikesters and skaters and smokers its becoming impossible to grocery shop...
imagine your grandmother getting run over by a skater ...hmm...that wouldnt be to nice would it ...not to mention the blind the elderley...the disabled both physically and mentally so pls do your part and lets make watervliet city of the year...we do have a nice city...it is by far the greatest...
but we have to work at it so pls again do your part...
thank you on behalf of all 0-102!· Reported by k-e · Flag Flagged
