5940 Rose Loop Northeast Bainbridge Island, WAFrom address there a ravine with a road bridge (with guardrail). If you standing and looking South toward the back of the ravine, on the east side of the ravine there is a dead deer, about 200 ft. in. You can contact the owner and she will point it out to you. It is not directly in the ravine attracting water rot, but it seems to the owner it might be a health hazard since she hasn't seen coyotes or anything feasting. Unfortunately where it's located is ivy covered with a steep slope; otherwise, she would go out there with a shovel and bury it. (Although she is also uncertain if it is on someone's private property.)
7215 Northeast Vincent Road Bainbridge Island, WAIt appears that Bainbridge Disposal is spreading oil or some black substance on the gravel along the recyclables dumping area. There are standing puddles of the substance. It is being, of course, tracked off the site on cars' wheels. What is this substance? Is it legal and/or safe?

I understand that the City owns an art piece in the Bainbridge Public Library (BPL). It is a painting or mural in the ceiling by Gayle Bard, with a glass installation by Steve Maslach. Some time back, during routine maintenance of the lights in the installation, the color filters over the lights were broken. Steve is in the process of creating replacements. Speaking with Steve yesterday, he was highly concerned that BPL had not notified the insurer and COBI. Therefore, I committed to make those notifications. I am now providing that notice to you. I am not requesting any action. Thanks.

8483 Ferncliff Ave. Ne Bainbridge Island, WashingtonThe homeowner at that address is running a woodworking business out of his home. (http://bainbridgeislandwoodworks.com) Yesterday, an on other occasions, he spends hours sawing wood. It is extremely loud. I don't know what the noise ordinance is, but the sawing is very intrusive. Could this be investigated? The problem is that he doesn't do it every day, so a random visit might not reveal the circumstances. Can someone contact me?
Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal Bainbridge Island, WashingtonMore than once, I have missed a ferry at Bainbridge Island, because of the parking meters not working properly. It is a regular occurrence to have to go through the process multiple times before the machines will actually read the card. I was one of several people today who are going to miss connecting with our groups, in Seattle, because of this issue. Either the machines need to be fixed or replaced, or there at least needs to be a call button to the ferry, from the meters to alert them to hold the ferry when the meters are not working.
301 Shannon Drive Bainbridge Island, WashingtonSunday morning I reported graffiti that was spray-painted on Bainbridge Island Rowing's boat yard wall Saturday night/Sunday morning. The officer I spoke with said this was the fourth such instance. One of our junior rowers could read it: "Tag is Carne. La(something)"

Multiple power lines down. Called Puget Sound Energy 2x. First time was a week ago, I described the problem and gave the address and cross street (Mabrey Lane). I called PSE again as I see more lines are down and wires are uncoiling further, including one line on the ground and others a few feet from ground.
Puget Sound Energy had no solution other than to send someone out. They had no record of my first report. I was speaking to the SAME representative!
They said IF they investigate and find the lines to be owned by anyone other than PSE, they don't do anything. I asked for clarification: nothing? They repeated, they cannot do anything.
So, I am to understand that there are power lines owned by X Company on Bainbridge Island and if you report to PSE, they have NO protocol for informing the correct agency? This is unacceptable, unaccountable and negligent.
These lines are one foot from a bike lane and 50 yards from an elementary school. Surely someone is accountable to keeping our community and wildlife safe from downed power lines?
Closest address is 4874 Blakely Avenue. The SCF app refuses to acknowledge my editing the geolocation, it keeps defaulting to my phone's current location. Cross street is Mabrey Lane.
Sportsmans Club Road Bainbridge Island, WA
Location: Sportsman's Club road, opposite Woodward and Sakai schools and adjacent Northtown Woods, Bainbridge Self Storage, and the Cooper Top commercial area.
I'm concerned about the continued escalating public use of the buffer/utility easement on the east side of Sportsman's club road between New Brooklyn road and the electrical sub-station.
Since the project to bury the electrical utilities along this roadway the buffer has come under increasing use.
It is more and more frequently used as annex parking for school events and a parking area for day to day pick ups and drop offs. It is also being used more and more frequently as parking for community for profit and nonprofit activities.
Additionally the storage business uses it as staging area for cargo transfer between tractor trailers and moving vans, and often to park their logo laden vehicles as advertisement.
Most recently the company constructing the addition to the Copper Top development is (actively) staging construction materials and debris among the buffering trees and shrubs. This week adding piles of gravel along the roadway, to be used (presumably) as either staging for the job, or to spread to build the roadside and buffer into even more of a parking area.
Please look into the situation along this stretch of road and address any improper use of buffer, inappropriate uses of utility easements, and illegal development of parking areas.
