On the 300 block of N.Holly St. in the West Poweltown area sits 3 side-by-side row homes all in which appear to be abandoned. This block has great potential! The neighbors are warm and welcoming, their is a community garden, and it is within walking distance to many University City hot spots. Unfortunately with abandoned homes comes unwanted activity. The teenagers / young adults congregate in front of the vacant homes smoking weed and making deals. This is not always noticeable, but it is definitely present. In addition, trash is starting to acccumulate in front of the homes, and the trash men aren't bothering to haul it away. It's becoming a dumping ground which is quite an eye sore. The facades on the houses could all use a face lift and some of the windows and doors are boarded up. This would be a great investment opportunity or flip project.
