840 West 33rd Street Chicago Il 60608From 4 pm and 4 am on Friday Aug 1 a large gathering of mainly Latino men and some women congregated in the back alley behind 840 W 33rd Street. These people took the whole alley sitting near other properties making themselves known with loud talking and drinking. At one point extremely loud music was played. Poultice were called would came put at least twice. The group would disperse come back again. At one point the Bridgeport police station was called and I was told essentially that they have rights. These people were not partying in someone's yard, none of them live in the surrounding houses. They were a threat regarding noise and loitering to the senior citizens who live in the complex and the safety of tax paying citizens that also live in the area.
840 West 33rd Street Chicago, IllinoisPictured is the spot/well where gangs hang out in the back of 840 west 33rd and the adjoining house to the right. This is a dingle back entrance where residents of both hous s exit in the alley aka the CHA Bridgeport Senior Citizen Parking lot. Gangs of Latino men have taken to hanging out in this well drinking smoking talking loud and offensively. They repeatedly go into the Sr Citizen home gated yard area to talk to people in the adjoins alley. They have been seen urinating on the st Citizen French. The alley is everyday litter d with glass bottles and beer cans. None of these people live in the adjoins mug homes. They walk down the alley towards the Bridgeport home area when they disperse. If the gates were fixed and locked no trespassing signs put up on the 840 property there would not be a problem.
832 West 33rd Street Chicago Illinois 60608 Chicago, ILExtreme loud music coming from the back yard residence of 832 west 33rd street. Bridgeport 60608 since 11am. It j
Has been continuously played at a extremely loud volume for about 5 hours straight. I am in my home with the windows closed and can still hear it. This has been a continuous ongoing problem with this residence and the one next door at 834 west 33rd street. Police were called multiple times today and no response. The music just keeps getting louder. Calls in the past about these residences were met with response from police saying that they can't do anything till 1100 pm. Where is the fairness to the surrounding neighbors who have to endure this? Isn't there a noise violation in Bridgeport? If not how do we get one?
840 West 33rd Street Chicago Bridgeport, IllinoisA group of about 7 to 10 Latino men have again taken up gathering in the back alley of 840 West 33rd Street. They hang out in the well that connects 840 to the house east of it. Both houses share the same alley entrance. The group was talking loudly and openly drinking alcoholic beverages in the alley. This morning cans were strewn about the alley. The members were seen going in and out of the Sr Citizen yard to talk to others in the alley on the other side. Some members are on bikes circling the alley and some in cars (small silver 4 door coupe OH 18510) none of these live movies n the surrounding homes as they are seen heading down the alley towards the Bridgeport Homes. I suspect because of the big camera directed at the park onLituanica that they have taken to hanging out in this alley now disturbing the peace and quiet of the residents. 912 called no sign of the police and 5 security guards walked out of the Sr Citizen yard proceeded to walk down the alley without saying a word to the gathering. The gang loitered in the alley from 4 pm till 10 pm.

Soil, weeds and garbage on sidewalk along fence at the sidewalk on the north side of Archer Avenue at 3068 South Archer, just north of the bridge over Bubbly creek.
There is accumulated soil and dirt, on sidewalk, along the chainlink fence. Weeds proliferate (proliferate = "grow") in abundance.
The state of Illinois recently cut down the weeds on the inside of the fence.
This is a perfect time for the city of Chicago to completely remove all soil (dirt), weeds and debris and garbage from this space before the winter season in order to prevent the buildup and recurrence of this problem in the coming Spring, 2017.
Please Streets and Sanitation Department, please remove not only the garbage, but all weeds AND THE SOIL AND DIRT on the sidewalk at the fence line, -that supports the weed growth. While your at it, why not clean the entire sidewalk as well. Garbage seems to accumulate along this particular space due to the wind coming over the bridge, which carries garbage (paper, cups, etc.) and deposits it along the chainlink fence which acts as a net to collect all that garbage.
I strongly suggest the use of power washers to clear out all the soil and dirt off the sidewalk, and pushing it onto the ground on the inside of the fence.
Thank you for your service to keep our city clean.

ISSUE CLOSED: Owner has cut down all the weeds on this lot.
MORE PROGRESS: I was able to get in contact with the property owner through his real estate agent. The owner has sent some people to cut the high weeds. They worked on Friday, July 29th and are back working again today, Monday, August 1.
PROGRESS: On July 26th, a crew with the Dept of Streets and Sanitation came by to cut the high weeds AROUND this fenced in lot and along the sidewalk.
The supervisor told me they cannot go onto the fenced area; however, he was writing up a fine for the owner today. He told me he would come by weekly to issue new fines until this owner took care of the weeds in the large fenced lot at this location.
On July 25th, I made a 3rd report of this lot to 311.
On July 19th, I made a 2nd report of this lot to 311.
On June 28th, I made my 1st report of this lot to 311.
On June 17th, I reported this lot to Alderman Balcer's office.
This overgrown lot is next to Donovan Park. The weeds are 6 ft tall or higher. This lot is 2-3 blocks away from Alderman Balcer's office.
Why are the owners allowed to leave this lot in this condition, especially next to the park? It sends the wrong message about the neighborhood.
The lot was left like this last year, as well.
I am not a native of Chicago or Bridgeport but the grown up lots and trash really bother me. I want people to feel proud of this neighborhood.
Why is there so much trash everywhere? I think the overgrown lots contribute to the trash problem because they give the impression that we don't care about the neighborhood.
There are grown up lots on 3 sides of our building, which is maintained nicely. Why should we be forced to live next to these lots? Are the owners of these lots ever held accountable?· Reported by Anonymous · Flag Flagged
