619 E. Chestnut Street Coatesville, Pennsylvania
To: Chief of Police and City Manager of Coatesville: ROAD RAGE, Traffic Issues and Noise Violations:
We have laws on the books that are not being fully enforce effectively or perhaps not at all in the City of Coatesville
We need a TRAFFIC TASK FORCE because apparently we do not have enough police to handle these repeated, continued violations:
• No Turn Signals,
• Running RED Lights,
• Not stopping fully at Stop Signs,
• No Turn Signals,
• U-Turns in middle of street,
• Parking on wrong side of street,
• Vehicles park in middle of street with NO Emergency Lights on and sometimes no driver.
• Drivers stopped in middle of the street while talking to someone,
• Drivers leaving vehicle in middle of street for 5 to 25 minutes while visiting someone, while music playing so loud... the pictures on my wall shake.
There is a law against loud music & noise disturbances coming from vehicles & motor cycles (especially in summer). The issue is exacerbated by the vulgar & nasty lyrics.
These issues are causing stress, anxiety, (safety issues especially). Some are becoming angry, because traffic is being blocked (repeatedly). And I am one of them.
I have addressed some of these issues for years by talking to people; however, things have changed and I have to be careful because, I could get hurt. I do this because...
THIS IS MY NEIBORHOOD and I am doing something about it.
We need more police and tasks force created to address these issues. I also want some feedback from the Police Department and City Manager regarding these issues and on how many issues are being addressed by ticket violations etc.
I am very upset about this. I would like to help in anyway I can. Truthfully… I don't even want to live here anymore.
PS – And no one should have to call in every time to make a complaint if the police see this happening and do not act.
227 E Chestnut Street Coatesville, PennsylvaniaBoth sides of street have not been cleaned since the new truck was obtained. The time frame is 7am-9am, every week the driver comes after the designated hours, cars are back in place. Driver is weaving inbetween cars, unacceptable! A rat was ran over in the street weeks ago, the remains are still there! RIDICULOUS!!!! HE NEEDS TO BE ONTIME!
228 New Street Coatesville PennsylvaniaThe Parking has been terrible past few months. Since every time a neighbor calls the cops because there are way too many cars to a home or company that takes parking of the residents who live there, and there is nothing the cops can do- Then the city should definitely do something about this issue. Maybe make actually parking lines or assign spots to each home. The company that comes to these houses are very inconsiderate. There are hard working residents on this block and we at least want to come home after a hard day of work to a parking spot. Something needs to be done and soon! It is causing a lot of hatred and drama on this street because people are parking any where and everywhere with no consideration.
107 Hope Ave Coatesville, PAI have sent in a bunch of letters, emails and phone calls. The people who had the handicap sign infront of 107 Hope Ave also have called several times to have this sign removed. They moved out months ago. We have very limited parking because of the churches on the street and having that one opened back up with help those of us living here alot more. The lady it was registered to has also called several times because she cant get the handicap sign where they moved now because of this one still being up and they moved to the other side of 82. Can someone please get this sign down!
Hope Ave Coatesville, PAOn Sundays the Church members at St. Joseph's are out of control with their parking! They park in the bus loading zone, right on the cornor of the cross road of charles and hope ave, handicap parking (and they arent handicap no tag or sticker), half into the cross street at the stop signs, and parking where there is no parking (at the yellow curbs and infront of fire hydrents). Last sunday 2 cars almost got into an accident because they couldnt see around the cornor at the stop sign because of the cars blocking the view AND a little girl was almost hit by a car because of this. The police were called and he wrote a couple tickets but he stated he ran out of tickets but he could have wrote atleast 15 more because of the way they were parked. This happens EVERY sunday and it is out of control. We also got blocked in 2 sundays ago because of the cars parking right onto our car within 2 inches (we measured it) and when we asked them please move so we could leave (we did ask nice as the person was getting out of his car cause we were getting in ours) he said "Sorry no I will be late for church you can wait till I leave in 2 hours after church to get out of your parking spot". I was shocked! Please please please officers do something about this!!!!!!!!!!!!
116-118 E Lincoln Hwy Coatesville, PAThese signs are placed all throughout the business district. They are plastered on vacant properties. There are phone numbers on the signs so the owner of the signs could be contacted to be made aware of solicitation policies that are on the books in the city. These signs, and others like them, make the business district look less than business like. If the property owner is fine with it, there is nothing to be done but they should not be placed on city property! The events are also happening in Norristown. They are not even benefiting the city.
