Law Enforcement Workshop
The Georgia Municipal Association is pleased to announce that the City of East Point will host a law enforcement workshop with a focus on "Law Enforcement Responses to Mentally and Developmentally Challenged Individuals" with special recognition to Autism Spectrum Disorder on Monday, April 23, 2018. This workshop will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport North, located at 3437 Bobby Brown Parkway in East Point, Georgia from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss best practices regarding appropriate responses and resources as it relates to encounters between police and individuals who are either mentally or developmentally challenged.This workshop is free and open to the public.
