Landscape Waste Bags - Paper Bags Now Required
Notices regarding this change was previously distributed along with each residents water bill. The City is also posting this notice to our See-Click-Fix users.
Due to
new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines, landscape waste
facilities can no longer accept clear plastic bags. Accordingly, the City is changing
from the 35 gallon (maximum) clear plastic bags to 30 gallon (maximum)
paper lawn waste bags. These paper bags are environmentally friendly, meet
current EPA guidelines and are readily available at various vendors throughout
the City. Landscape waste sticker(s) will still be required to be affixed to
each landscape waste bag or bundle. Please begin using paper landscape bags the
next time you set landscape waste out.
-Thank you.
