479 Manila Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA
Two weeks ago we asked for your help with the construction site at the above address.
This was our complaint (the dumpster is placed under our building windows instead of placing it in front of their own property. Huge objects are thrown from the windows right into the metal container creating an unbearable noise and lots of dust and safety hazard.)
Nothing was done.
Today a filled container was replaced with the new one and the “@#$%” started again.
I work from home, I can’t work in the conditions like that. it’s not right.
They throw everything from the windows right into the container which is 5 feet away from my desk.
Also they secured 4 parking spots for a month. How is that possible? We are struggling here with finding parking spots. This house has it’s own parking in front at the back.
Also they start working at 7:30 am.
This property is at the corner of 479 Manila and 8th Street.

It is Sunday, July 14, 2019 and the recycle pile has started. Talde has falsely made claims to a city official (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5996398) that they have a recycle pickups on Sundays and Mondays. Jersey City, would you have curbside recycling on a Thursday and then immediately on the next day? Would that make sense? I can tell you that Talde was not honest and they do not have a pickup on Sundays, at all. The recycling is picked up Monday mornings at 7:30 AM, consistently, for weeks.
Why is Talde allowed to operate in this fashion? Talde KNOWS they did something wrong because the recycling pile actually stopped after June 16 and they started putting it out on Sunday evenings (still beyond the 8 hours allowed), but they are back at it.
I do apologize to the city employees who have to continually go out for this but I simply do not like the street I live on looking like this.
457 Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USACaterpillar infestation all along Jersey Avenue, York Street, Varick Street. Pale green caterpillars eating leaves and encasing tree branches in thick webbing. The caterpillars are also eating the plants in the gardens along those streets and killing them.

After a brief hiatus, Talde is back at it as they place cardboard in a pile on a sidewalk well before their scheduled collection - a collection that occurs after 7am on Monday mornings -- meaning that this pile should not appear during daylight hours.
Bay Street is a mess because of the additional pedestrian traffic that we have an establishment placing cardboard does not help the situation.
Why is Talde allowed to operate in this fashion? This issue has been posted for multiple weeks. Talde stopped for about two weeks and now they are back at it. The city also has done nothing about the permanent sidewalk cafe setup that Talde has.
This is the fifth time this issue has been reported. Jersey City Officials, why does it take multiple reports of the same issue to get any official action taken?
229 Newark Ave Jersey City, New JerseyThe construction for the empty lot next to 229 Newark Ave started this week. Today is the first weekend of construction and the workers started drilling and jackhammering underneath our apartment early this morning, disrupting me and my roommates sleep and entire day. Given the construction will take place on the entire lot, we ask that construction on the weekend take place later in the day or on the other side where there are no tenants to be disturbed. They can work under our apartment during the weekday while we are at work. The attached photo shows the workers right underneath our balcony.
Ohara'S Downtown 172 1st St, Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USAThis bar is out of control. There have been numerous loud noise incidents, a recent murder and as of 5/18 a riot due to overserving of alcohol and lack of security enforcement. An O’Hara’s customer also broke the glass of a residential building next door (The Oakman). Their liquor license should be revoked and/or operating hours Time for Jersey City to take the trash out.
407 8th St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USASince buildings were knocked down and construction has begun on lot at 382 7th Street, nearby basements and yards have been flooding. We are having to run our sump pump continuously to keep the basement from flooding. Shouldn't the developer for the property be taking precautions to keep this from happening? thank you!
67 Bright Street Jersey City, New JerseyRoad work was done today, but it was left with the entire block covered in sand. With dry conditions, cars driving by, and wind, the sand is clouding the air and making it hard to breath on the street. It is a health hazard
