Green Field Rd Elkridge, MDWe have a horrible speeding problem throughout the Rockburn Commons and Orchard Club Neighborhoods between rt 103 and Rt 1. Signage through has become dilapidated and is aging. 15 years ago this was a little known area. Now it's a cut through for non residents of the community and commercial traffic. This 25 mph sign looks shorter than average and also is located in an area where it is easily obstructed by larger automobiles and growing trees. Cam the sign please be raised or moved to a location where it is more likely to be seen or, at the least, can the tree be trimmed. Thanks the attached photos is a sunny sunset evening.

6000-6098 Bauman Dr Elkridge, MD, 21075, USAHomeowners bush and tree is once again growing into traffic right-away on North bound side of Bauman Dr at corner of Ducketts Lane. The county had to trim back last year and it needs done again. The growth into road is causing vehicles traveling north on Bauman Dr into the south bound lanes. May I suggest moving or removing the bush and tree from within the county 15 ft right-away otherwise this will be a yearly safety issue...
Deborah Jean And Montgomery Road Ellicott City, Maryland
This intersection desperately needs a traffic light or stop signs.
In addition to the traffic volume addressed by the prior traffic study, the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices allows other considerations when determining whether to install a stop sign.
Per the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD):
Section 2B.07 Multi-Way Stop Applications:
Other criteria that may be considered in an engineering study include:
A. The need to control left-turn conflicts;
B. The need to control vehicle/pedestrian conflicts near locations that generate high pedestrian volumes;
C. Locations where a road user, after stopping, cannot see conflicting traffic and is not able to negotiate the intersection unless conflicting cross traffic is also required to stop; and
D. An intersection of two residential neighborhood collector
(through) streets of similar design and operating characteristics where multi-way stop control would improve traffic operational characteristics of the intersection.
Items A and C (and arguably D) are particularly relevant to this intersection.
Item A: When cars are stopped on both sides of the intersection , each trying to make a left turn or cross the road, the turns are treacherous and require the two drivers to make eye contact and communicate from across the road to avoid an accident.
Item C: This is the most compelling reason of all. This is a high speed intersection with a posted speed limit of 40MPH (and most vehicles traveling faster than that). Due to road curvature visibility is very limited making entering this intersection very dangerous. The MUTCD explicitly allows 4 way stop signs to be installed for this reason.
This is a high speed busy intersection near neighborhoods with many children and young drivers, and is nearby a school where several schoolbuses pass. The county has the opportunity to save lives with the simple installation of stop signs, and the MUTCD allows it to do so for the reasons above. The residents implore you to help.
6100 Ducketts Lane Elkridge, MarylandDucketts Lane in the 6100 block needs to be re-painted off center from homes along westbound side of roadway. Before the county placed a new water main the road was painted off center from the homes. The road is now painted down the middle forcing west bound autos into the eastbound opposing lane of traffic as homeowners park on the west side of the road. No homes driveway access on the east bound Ducketts Lane side. The road is three lanes wide and the county needs to re-establish a parking area on the west bound side and move the dividing lines to the left of center. This is a public safety issue and the county needs to act in a timely manner. The county did establish proper road markings at the new Ducketts Elementary School and the road needs to be marked the same in front of the west bound side homes to prevent traffic from being forced over the wrongly placed divider lines. Again, this is a public safety issue and the county needs to correct this before a accident occurs and the county is held responsible financially.
6063 Hanover Rd Hanover, MD, 21076, USAWith all the new communities going up directly on or near Hanover Rd, sidewalks that connect to Old Washington Rd should be installed throughout Hanover Rd. Increase vehicle traffic is making this road more dangerous to walk on and sidewalks should be installed.
